Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare / University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Associate to Baccalaureate Nursing Program

The program is for the registered nurse who hold a diploma or associate degree in nursing and who wishes to earn a baccalaureate degree. A student can progress through this undergraduate program on a full or part-time basis compatible with their personal and professional commitments. The nurses in this program always describe it as “manageable” and frequently remark “why didn’t I do this sooner.” Many do not stop upon graduation but continue on for their masters in nursing.

This flexible RN to BSN program can meet the time and travel restraints of participants who want to obtain a nursing degree but have not made the commitment to begin. We think this is the answer for you. Have fun learning with your professional colleagues.

The classes are provided at our WFHC sites one or two nights a semester. The professors come to us. We order and deliver the books the first night of class and you can purchase them if you wish. You can start any semester and go fast or slow depending on your need. Traditional tuition reimbursement is available for this program.

To be considered, an applicant must be a registered nurse. Call the UWM nurse recruiter/RN advisor for an appointment to set up your individual learning plan at 414-229-4662. There is no better time to focus on your professional development.

Tuition Reimbursement

Our Mission, Vision and Values as well as good business practices call us to encourage the professional development of associates by supporting participation in educational opportunities that expand their knowledge and enhance talents they bring to the communities we serve. Therefore we assist associates with educational expenses by providing tuition reimbursement for all eligible associates for eligible coursework.

Testimonial

"In March of 2004 I joined The Wisconsin Hospital team as a staff nurse in the Inpatient Department. After 20 years of practicing in the critical care unit of another area hospital, I found myself ready for a change. I was excited to be participating in the opening of a new hospital and eager to tackle the challenge of establishing a new patient base. Above all else though, I wanted to be a part of an organization that valued quality as much as I did.

At The Wisconsin Heart Hospital quality is not just a term that is talked about or part of some catchy phrase, it is the common denominator that is found in every aspect of our organization. Quality and the commitment to the delivery of quality care is the result of a leadership team willing to make changes based on patient surveys and employee feedback. It is the common characteristic that best describes the physicians, nurses, technicians and other team members who are selectively chosen to be a part of this organization. Commitment to quality is the reason I give when someone asks “why do you work at The Wisconsin Heart Hospital.”
